Location Description
Cosy resort, in the eastern part of the region, convenient, 110 km south-east from Valencia, 70 km north-east from Alicante. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchers, bakers, boutiques, post office, bank, restaurant, bar, evening entertainment. Indoor pool. Besides: chemist, doctor. Access: access via a good road. Railway station in the resort. Moraira 8 km. Calpe 8 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Valencia-Manises (VLC) 130 km, Alicante-El Altet (ALC) 85 km. The coast is situated between Calpe and Moraira and consists of cliffs, bathing bays and a sandy beach. The other closest sandy beaches are situated in Moraira and Calpe. Car is necessary. It is possible to take part in summer sports, entertainment and organised trips. Market on Saturdays. Flea market on Tuesdays. Famous saints fiestas at the end of April and the "Moros y Cristianos" fiestas at the end of June. During warm or dry spells water may be rationed. Golf course 9 km. Pretty countryside when the almond trees are in blossom, from the end of January to the beginning of March.
