Location Description
This hotel lies directly on the coast overlooking its own private bay. Although it is only a 12-minute drive from the airport and 15 minutes from the capital Funchal, the hotel is favourably situated amongst greenery and the area is generally peaceful. There is a small supermarket right next to the hotel as well as public transport.
Description of the rooms
All rooms have a view of the sea and most have a balcony. There is an en suite bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, radio, safe and satellite TV in every room. Some rooms have an adjoining door for use by larger families. On request the hotel can also provide family rooms with a separate niche complete with additional bed.
Entertainment and sports facilities
It lies above its Manta Diving Centre, as well as its Lido Galomar with direct access to the sea and salty swimming pool and is therefore highly recommended for divers. Aqua aerobics classes are also offered along with table tennis, squash, aerobics, basketball, handball, volleyball, badminton, a pool table and darts. The nearest golf course is around 12 km away.
