Location Description
The district of Hechthausen is the most easterly in the county of Cuxhaven, bordered to the north, east and south by the course of the river Oste. It is a cosy holiday resort in the interior 50 km from the sea, 18 km from Stade, 30 km from Otterndorf, 50 km from Cuxhaven. All shops, restaurants etc. in Hemmoor 8 km. In the resort: grocers, butchers, bakers, bank, restaurant. Indoor pool at 5 km. Access: railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Hamburg (HAM) 85 km, Bremen (BRE) 115 km. This place has retained its rural character, emphasized, for example, by the old windmill in the town. The Oste dike and dike mudflats invite you to take long walks and cycle rides particularly when the fruit trees are in bloom.
