Location Description
Cosy city, 30 km north from Neuruppin, 40 km south from Neustrelitz, 85 km north from Berlin. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchers, bakers, bank, restaurant. Access: railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Berlin (TXL) 90 km. More than 50 lakes, large inter-connecting areas of woodland and hidden places with history are waiting to be discovered. Watersports' fans will find a chain of lakes here which connect directly to the Mecklenburg lakes plateau and to the Havel waters. There are numerous boats for hire for a variety of uses. The Rheinsberg castle is particularly worth seeing which has an imposing mirrored hall.
