Location Description
Small climatic health resort, 37 km west from Eisenach, 40 km east from Bad Hersfeld. All shops, restaurants etc. in Bebra 14 km. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchers, bakers, post office, bank, museum. Indoor pool at 15 km. Access: railway station "Bebra" 14 km. Bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Erfurt (ERF) 95 km, Frankfurt (FRA) 180 km. Nentershausen is situated at the end of the wooded Hasel valley, very close to the geographical centre of Germany. Due to its position, several cultural highlights can be easily reached; the watch-tower in Eisenbach, the homes of Goethe and Schiller in Weimar, the festival theatre in the Bad Hersfeld monastery ruins, the "documenta" in nearby Kassel and the Baroque cathedral town Fulda (85 km).
