Location Description
Resort at the coast with about 14500 inhabitants, 30 km north-east of Barcelona, situated between Premia de Mar and Cabrera de Mar.The city festival on the 24.06, is devoted to Sant Joan. In December and January, there is a competition and exhibition of cribs, in may there is the art fair of Maresme. Following buildings belong to the cultural heritage: Can Bassa (modern, 19th century), Casal de Curacio (20th century), church Sant Joan de Vilassar (with barroque elements of the 18th century) and the nautical school (neo classical, 19th century).
