Location Description
Palamos is a town at the Costa Brava belonging to the region of "Baix Emporda". Palamos kept his traditional charme and offers a wide range of small hotels. Moreover, there is a huge number of restaurants where you can try the excellent catalan cuisine with a great variety of fish dishes. Altogether seven beaches belong to Palamos as well as several small gorgeous bays, whereas some of them can only be reached from the sea. The adventureres beyond you will also discover hidden beaches during a rock climbing tour. However, most of the beaches can be reached easily by car or bicycle. A walk along the marvellous coast scenery is strongly recommended. The ruins of an iberian village at the beach of Castell or the mediaeval castle "Sant Esteve" are also worth seeing. A train run is another possibility in order to explore the landscape. The church Santa Eugenia Villarroma from the 16th century in the city-centre of Palamos is impressive as well. You can also find a fish and an industrial port in Palamos where you can buy fresh fish every day. Thereby, you should use the opportunity of participating in a fish auction. Moreover, the offer of sport acitivities at the yacht and sport port is tremendous.
