Benidorm 20 km. Jávea 30 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Valencia-Manises (VLC) 130 km, Alicante-El Altet (ALC) 75 km. Sandy beach, bathing bays, harbour, diving, sailing, surfing. Golf course, 12 km. The famous symbol of Calpe is the "Penon de Ifach" a huge rock which rises up behind the fishing harbour. Market on Saturdays. Flea market on Wednesdays. Famous fiestas are at the beginning of Ausuts and fiestas for "Moros y Cristianos" at the end of October. Car recommended. During hot dry periods water could become scarce. Calpe is ideal for winter holidays too thanks to its mild climate.
