Location Description
Sant Antoni is located in the centre of Barcelona in the prestigious Eixample district. It is bordered by the famous Barcelona street ‘Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes’, which extends the entire length of the city, and is only one metro stop away, or a 15 minute walk, from Plaza Catalunya, where you will find Las Ramblas.
The Mercat de Sant Antoni covers a large block of the Eixample district. This market is very popular due not only to its varied choice of fruit, vegetables, fish and seafood, but its weekly book fair which takes place every Sunday morning.
There are many traditional Catalan tapas bars in Sant Antoni and two cinemas; “Renoir Floridablanca” (which holds seven theatres specializing in films in their original language) and “Cinema Urgell”.
Apartments in Sant Antoni are perfectly situated in the central area of Barcelona but away from the loud, overly touristic areas. Apartments here tend to be more spacious than in districts such as El Raval for example, where the streets are smaller and apartments more compact.
