Spacious, elegantly furnished two bedroom apartment. The apartment is located in typical building from the turn of the 20th Century, with a marble entrance and an old fashioned lift. It is located on the fifth floor, the lift only goes to the fourth floor but it´s only a few more steps up to the fifth and well worth it. On entering the apartment you enter a long hall, at the end to the left you have the main bedroom, with a double bed and doors leading onto the gallery. The gallery has stained glass windows typical of the era in which the apartment was built. Off the gallery is the bathroom with a bath tube and wash hand basin. There is a dining area with a table and four chairs. The living room also looks onto the gallery and has a sofa, armchairs, t.v and some plants. On the left hand side of the hallway there is the second bedroom also with a double bed and fitted wardrobes. This bedroom looks onto an inner patio but does recieve natural light. The kitchen which is fully equipped and toilet are also on the left hand side of the hallway.
The apartment is ideal for two couples as it has two double beds or a group of friends. The owner can also provide a baby cot (free of charge), for a child up to three years old. If you would like to request the baby cot, please mention it in the comments box on the booking form.
The apartments high ceilings and soft furnishings give it a very spacious feel. In the area around the apartment you will find lots of typical shops, coffee bars and many of Barcelona´s most fashionable restaurants. Its only a short walk away from Rambla Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia with two of Gaudi´s most famous buildings and Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter are about 15 minutes away on foot or you can take any number of buses.

Location Description
The construction of the L´Eixample district started at the beginning of the 20th Century, by the time they finished the Clinic Hospital in 1904 the surrounding areas were still farmland. Today the Ninot Market caracterizes the central part of this neighbourhood.
The left hand side of the Eixample district is the modernistic part of Barcelona. All the streets cross in the rectangular style, which is quite unusual for European town planning. The buildings, nearly all of which have been reformed, are from the 20th Century and you will notice the variety in the decorated façades of the buildings as you walk through the area. You will find something to suit every taste in this area, design and fashion shops, relaxing parks and a range of bars and cafes to have your morning coffee in. There are also a good number of restaurants, bars and discos for those looking for some nightlife. The majority of these are around the streets, Londres, Paris and Muntaner. It can be difficult to resist the temptation to stop and try out some the local pastries & coffees, drinks & tapas or have dinner in some of the most fashionable restaurants in Barcelona. Towards the bottom of L´Eixample it meets with Plaza Catalunya and the beginning of the Gothic Quarter.
The Eixample is one of the prettiest and safest districts of Barcelona. Places of interest not to miss: Plaza Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia and Plaza España that has a fountain display with lights and music in the evening time.
