Property Description
This two bedroom apartment is located on the first floor (really the third) of a typically old Barcelona style building - the building has a lift. On entering the apartment you walk into the kitchen-living room. The soft spot lights on the bare stone walls and beamed roof give off a rustic feel to the place. The kitchen is equipped with all the mod-cons necessary for cooking and also has a table and chairs for up to six people. The living room has a large sofa bed and the balcony doors in the living room open out onto a quiet pedestrian street.
Following the little passageway from the kitchen brings you to the first bedroom. This is the main bedroom and it has a double bed, a wardrobe and it is also en-suite. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds and there is also a second bathroom opposite.
The apartment also has hardwood floors throughout, double glazing and a hot/cold air conditioning system for your comfort. The interior of the apartment combines a typically old-style Barcelona building with the comforts of a modern one.

Location Description
The Gothic Quarter is one of the oldest and most interesting areas in Barcelona. First of all because of Las Ramblas - the very famous 2-kilometer long boulevard that runs from Plaça de Catalunya, the very heart of Barcelona, to Barcelona´s port, showing what is perhaps the essence of Barcelona. Sights to see on this wonderful boulevard are: Mercado de La Boquería, Academia de Sciencias, gothic-baroque church de Betlem, Palacio de Moya, and the Casa Bruno Cuadros. Furthermore, the Gothic Quarter is known for its many ruins of old fortifications, which still remain from the time the Romans ruled. The area is visited by thousands of tourists every year and is the trendiest place to live. With its winding streets it is easy to get lost, but the many tapas bars and little cafes make the journey most enjoyable. In the streets Carrer de Ferran and Carrer Jaume I as well as in all the narrow streets in the upper part of the Gothic Quarter, you can find all kinds of interesting and trendy shops and you can airily discover the area. The streets situated in the lower part of the quarter are gloomier, but there still are a lot of nice restaurants and bars, which are worth a visit. Interesting places to see in this area include: Plaça del Rei, Plaça Reial and, of course, the Gothic Cathedral.
