Location description
This family-friendly skiing accommodation is located in a mountain village right in the heart of Serra da Estrela. It is harmoniously settled within the urban setting of Penhas da Saúde, at an altitude of 1,500 metres. It consists of the hotel and the mountain chalets, 10 minutes away from the ski resort. Slightly below the mountain village, overlooking Cova da Beira, sits the typical Estalagem Varanda dos Carqueijais. Guests can discover this group of hotel resorts that are built to standards of excellence to match the highest mountain in Portugal. Covilhã town centre with bars, discos, shops and the bus and train stations is a 15- to 20-minute drive away. Torre is 8 km away, the Museo de Lanificios is a 20-minute drive away and the Museo de Pão and the Museo Judaico are a 50-minute drive from the hotel. The Poço do Infero is 30 km away.
