Description of the Hotel
This resort hotel is a beautiful old 18th century country house hotel offering a high degree of privacy with an emphasis on comfort, personal service and first class food in a very special atmosphere of total relaxation. It offers 18 rooms in total spread over 2 floors, as well as air conditioning, a lobby, currency exchange facilities, a bar, TV room, restaurant, conference facilities and WLAN Internet access. Room and laundry services are also offered (the latter subject to fees). Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car.
Location description
This hotel is in a protected preservation area close to the ancient hill village of Estoi, yet only 15 minutes from Faro Airport, 25 minutes from Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and world-famous golf courses and beaches.
Description of the rooms
The large south-facing bedrooms overlook the gardens and offer excellent views of the unspoilt countryside to the coast (twin rooms face north), with French windows leading to the private terrace, where breakfast is served each morning. The en suite bathrooms come with the finest wall tiles and white marble, full bath and shower with separate shower controls and a ?rain forest' showerhead. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio, hifi system, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities, as well as double beds, individually adjustable air conditioning and heating, and a safe deposit box all feature.
Entertainment and sports facilities
Live entertainment is provided four evenings a week, depending on the time of year, by a variety of talented musicians, including Eudoro Grade who plays classical guitar. The nearby sand/gravel beach comes with sun loungers and parasols (both subject to fees). Guests may take advantage of the heated outdoor pool with sun loungers and parasols, as well as the hot tub and gym facilities. Massage and spa treatments are also offered (subject to fees).

From the airport follow the road straight on and take the last exit (S. Bras de Alportel). Go through 2 sets of traffic lights until you reach the sign S. Bras d Alportel/Estoi. Then turn right. Follow the signs for Estoi on right. In Estoi you will see yellow signs for Monte do Casal restaurant. Take a left onto the Moncarapacho road. The hotel is 2.8 km along this road on the left.
Reception is normally open from 8 am to 10.30 pm. If guests require a very late check-in, they should notify reception in advance so that this can be arranged (00351-289-990-140).
