Location description
This hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city next to one of the most picturesque canals in Amsterdam. Within walking distance of the hotel is the famous Leidesplein area with its numerous bars, restaurants, bistros, grand cafes, shops and theatres. Europe's largest casino can also be found in Leidseplein. The location of the hotel, close by Dam Square, allows guests to visit the major tourist spots of the city such as Madame Tussauds, the Koninklijk Paleis (the Royal Palace) and Nieuwe Kerk (the New Church). This hotel is easily accessible from Amsterdam Central Station via Trams 1-2-5 (get out at the Leidseplein stop). Guests arriving from Schiphol Amsterdam airport should take the KLM city bus and get out at the Marriott hotel stop, or come by Connexxion shuttle bus. Both stops are only 50 m away from the hotel and services depart around every 25 minutes. Guests coming by car will also find the hotel easily accessible.
