The city hotel was built in 1911 by a main road and comprises 79 rooms on 5 floors of which 13 are singles, 64 are doubles and there are 2 suites. The hotel facilities include a welcoming lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a newspaper stand, a conference room and lifts. In addition, guests are offered Internet access as well as room and laundry service and medical assistance.
Location description
This hotel is situated at the heart of Amsterdam, directly next to the famous dam. The hotel is also located close to the stock exchange and the Bijenkorf department store. Also in the neighbourhood, guests will find the world-famous waxworks at Madame Tussaud's and the Royal Palace. Further tourist attractions such as the Kalverstraat are only steps away. Centraal main railway station lies only 700 metres away and the tram is even closer to the hotel. Schiphol airport is easily reached by train or taxi within 20 minutes.
Description of the rooms
The comfortable, air-conditioned rooms come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a lounge area, soundproof windows and a double bed.
