Description of the Hotel
The hotel, housed in a gloriously restored neo-classical mansion, is an oasis of calm in the heart of Corfu's vibrant capital. Originally the 19th-century residence of one of the island's ""first families"", in the 20th century the edifice served as a consulate, the National Bank of Greece, and a lyceum for Corfiot schoolgirls. In 1988, the apricot-hued stately home became a hotel known for its serenity and, in 2006, it was lovingly renovated to serve the needs of third-millennium guests from the world over. The hotel comprises 32 rooms, with two beautiful rooms designed with honeymooners in mind and a second floor grand master suite, ideal for families, round off the range of accommodation units on offer. Facilities include a air conditioning, a lobby, a bar and a TV room.
Location description
Located in a quiet side street, the hotel is a stone's throw away from Corfu town's historic ""Spianada"" and guests have easy access, by foot, to all the important sites and attractions of Kerkyra: the Liston, the two great fortresses, the museums, and Corfu town's fine restaurants, shops and cafes.
