Dunoon is the capital city of the Cowal Peninsula which is situated to the west of Glasgow. Access to Dunoon is either by car ferry from Gourock across the Firth of Clyde or by road from Tarbet. Easy access on arrival and departure would be via the ferry (runs from approx 07.00 - 22.00 daily, reduced price tickets can be bought from the supermarket in Dunoon).
