Description of the Hotel

Location description
The hotel is situated on the site of the Pollock Halls of Residence, within the shadow of Arthur's Seat and close to the Royal Mile and Holyrood Park. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel guests will find various restaurants and bars and a link to the public transport network. Princes Street, with its tourist information centre, is a 20-minute walk away and is packed with shops. Waverly railway station is also a 20-minute walk away. Edinburgh Castle is a 25-minute walk from the hotel and it is just over an hour's drive to Glasgow.

The hotel provides single en suite rooms with single beds, shower and WC. Tea and coffee making facilities, a direct dial telephone and heating are also included as standard.

The hotel can be reached by train: Waverley station is close by and has trains arriving from London King's Cross station direct. If arriving by car guests should leave the M8 at Junction 1, take the slip-road on the right down onto the A720 southbound, follow this by-pass around the city until the Junction with the A701. Turn left here and follow the road into the town centre, turning right onto East Preston Street, then take another right, followed by a left to arrive at the hotel.
