Description of the Hotel
This is an 18th century mansion on the outskirts of England's only World Heritage city. It is set in 8 hectares of gardens. Features such as Ionic columns and honey-coloured Bath stone make it an idyllic setting. Facilities and amenities include a lobby, a 24-hour reception and check-out service, currency exchange facility, cloakroom, restaurant, a number of bars, room and laundry services, and a car park (fees may apply). There are 78 rooms in total. A games room with table-tennis and board games, a TV lounge with satellite channels and Internet access are also provided. 2 mountain bikes and helmets are available for guests to borrow free of charge.
Location description
Located in the West of England, the hotel offers excellent connections to Bath and Bristol. It is easily accessible from all points of the compass. Bristol Airport is about 45 km away.
Description of the rooms
The spacious, individually-decorated bedrooms come with a luxurious en suite bathroom. They are housed in a dedicated building adjacent to the main house, and are modern and well-lit. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a radio, Internet access, tea/coffee making facilities, double or king-size beds, laundry service (charged) and individually regulated heating all come as standard.
Entertainment and sports facilities
There is plenty to keep guests occupied within the confines of the 8-hectare estate, including a spa bath, sauna, gym facilities with aerobic and anaerobic equipment, a floodlit all-weather tennis court (can be used for 5-a-side football) and pool/snooker tables. Please note these facilities are subject to availability and charges if applicable. Sun parasols are also provided. There are a number of golf courses in the vicinity: Bath Golf Club, Lansdown Golf Club and Cumberwell Golf Club.
Further details
Leave the M4 at junction 18 and follow the signs for Bath on the A46. Continue on the A46 for about 13 km. Approaching Bath, the road becomes a dual-carriageway and goes down a long hill (watch out for the speed camera on this down-slope). At the bottom of the hill take the slip road signed to Bath City Centre. Take the 1st exit, left, at the large roundabout (away from the City Centre). 200 metres further on, on the left, the sign for the hotel (Eveleigh Avenue) should be visible.
