Description of the Hotel
This 19th century mansion is set within 7 acres of private woodland with roaring log fires, sweeping staircases and magnificent interior design over 3 floors with 36 rooms. Facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a currency exchange, a cloakroom, a lift and a bar. The Tapestry Restaurant, so called because of the ornate tapestry work on the walls, is a fantastic setting for an intimate dining experience. After dinner it is possible to relax in the stately library, in front of the roaring log fire and choose from the extensive range of the best of Scottish whisky's or wines from around the world. Meeting facilities and Internet access are also provided as well as rooms and laundry services. Bicycle rental and a car park are also included in the services.
Location description
Situated in the leafy West End of Aberdeen, an area of outstanding beauty and the gateway to Royal Deeside. The hotel is one mile from the A90 and a 10 minute drive from the cosmopolitan centre of Aberdeen which is steeped in history with a vast array of museums and art galleries as well as offering fantastic shopping and a vibrant nightlife scene. Public transport lies right by the hotel and the airport is in easy reach, only 20 minutes away.
