>>The district of Hechthausen is the most easterly in the county of Cuxhaven, bordered to the north, east and south by the course of the river Oste. It is a cosy holiday resort with 3000 inhabitants, in the interior 50 km from the sea, 18 km from Stade, 30 km from Otterndorf, 50 km from Cuxhaven. All shops, restaurants etc. in Hemmoor 8 km. In the resort: grocers, butchers, bakers, bank, restaurant. Indoor pool at 5 km. Access: railway station in the resort. This place has retained its rural character, emphasized, for example, by the old windmill in the town.
