The hotel is housed in what was originally a half-timbered house dating back to the 17th century. This has been lovingly restored at considerable time and effort. The hotel situated between Dortmund airport (1.5 km) and the city centre (15 min by car). There is a free airport shuttle service available to guest, which takes around 2 minutes. Alternatively, guests may take a local train (station 7-minute walk) into the heart of the city or to the FIFA 2006 Football stadium & Westfalenhalle (11 minutes by train). The hotel is situated in a peaceful location, with various shopping facilities, restaurants and pubs in the immediate vicinity.
