Description of the Hotel
The hostel offers a friendly atmosphere and professional service. Thanks to its well-lit and spacious rooms and the large range of media equipment available, it is particularly suited to conferences and seminars of all kinds. The hostel, renovated in 2008, has a total of 116 rooms. Its facilities include a lobby area with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, cloakroom and lift access. Guests can also relax in the hostel's TV lounge, pub or café or take advantage of the complimentary Internet access. The hostel offers extensive conference facilities and guests arriving by car can use the hostel's car park.
Location description
The modern hostel is in a quiet but central location right on the Rhine. Enjoy the flair of the city of Cologne before returning to recover and relax in the hostel after a long day of sightseeing. Thanks to a direct underground connection, guests can get to the city in about 10 minutes, an ideal starting point for exploring Cologne. Attractions include the city's beautiful Old Town, the gothic cathedral, Cologne trade fair and the KölnArena events stadium, all of which are approximately 3 km from the hostel. Neuss indoor ski complex and RheinEnergie sports stadium are 46 km and 14 km away respectively.
Description of the rooms
The modern interior with functional rooms is suitable for disabled guests and welcomes all guests with a light and friendly atmosphere. All of the en suite rooms have a shower/WC, central heating, a safe and a terrace.
Entertainment and sports facilities
The area right by the hostel is excellent for inline skating and jogging along the Rhine. The guided city tours with interesting topics such as underground Cologne or ?In the footsteps of the Romans' make for an exciting day out, not only for children. The youth hostel is right on a cycling trail along the Rhine leading on to many attractions. There are large public playgrounds and green spaces immediately behind the hostel. Guests can also relax in the solarium or by the poolside snack bar or enjoy a game of table tennis.

Arrival by public transport: on arrival at Cologne railway station take the number 18 underground (Thielenbruch direction) and alight at Boltensternstraße. The hostel is a 5-minute walk from there.
