Description of the Hotel
Renovated in 2000, this modern, 4-storey hotel comprises a total of 155 rooms, including 53 suites. In the elegant lobby with a warming fireplace, guests will find a reception area and lifts. Further facilities include excellent rooms for conferences, a cosy lounge also with a fireplace, a bar and 2 restaurants as well as a games room. Children's supervision is available on request and for an additional fee. Furthermore, guests are able to hire bikes from the hotel. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or underground garage facilities.
Location description
This hotel enjoys and idyllic location right by the beautiful Riessersee, surrounded by a unique mountain range of the Alps and the Zugspitze. The location offers excellent winters sports opportunities, as well as various shopping and entertainment venues. The pretty centre of Garmisch Partenkirchen is about 2 km away. The nearest ski lift as well as the pistes, which have an attitude of up to 3,000 m and cross-country trail are around 100 m away from the hotel. In addition, guests will also find plenty of excellent hiking paths surrounding the hotel. The hotel's bus service runs twice a day to the centre of Garmisch Partenkirchen, as well as the main train station, at no extra cost.
Description of the rooms
The tastefully furnished comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, cosmetic mirror and trouser press. In addition, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ pay TV, fax and laptop access, a radio, a minibar and a hire safe are also included as standard. Each room also comes with a balcony or terrace. The maisonette junior suites are for 2-3 persons and include a lounge/ bedroom for 2 people and a further double bed in the open gallery. Non-smoking rooms are available on request. Single rooms are double rooms with single occupancy.
