Location Description
Marche en Famenne is a small elegant town, with a strong folklore connection. It has undergone a great deal of urban renovation with an emphasis on cultural tourism. Several museums to visit: Famenne Museum (geological and botannical), Tourelle Museum (in memory of the 800 lacemakers that worked in the region). Also to visit at Waha: the 11th Century Roman church, the neoclassical castle. Other attractions: bird market 15 August, good opportunity to sample the regional producs, the wine fair in November, the flower market on the Monday of Pentecost.
